movieguy Posted December 6, 2004 Report Share Posted December 6, 2004 Policeman drove wrong way down motorway An Italian policeman who was arrested after driving almost 20 miles the wrong way down a busy motorway said he thought everyone else was going the wrong way. The 23-year-old officer, who has not been named, admitted he had been drinking but had believed everyone else was in the wrong when he turned onto the Autostrada del Sole, between Florence and Rome. Traffic police who were informed of the drunken driver by alarmed motorists only managed to stop him by blocking the road with sandbags. He was slightly injured in the collision but not enough to stop him being arrested.
