TalonRider Posted January 16, 2006 Report Share Posted January 16, 2006 Suspect In Attempted Child Abduction Just Looking For Dog (Charlotte, NC) -- Police say a man being sought last week for an attempted child abduction by asking several children if they had seen his lost puppy has been found. Last week, a nine-year-old boy thought the man was attempting to lure him into his truck with the story he had been told by his parents and teachers is a common trick child molesters use to get children to trust them. Giainni says the boy did the right thing by shouting no to the man and running to his mom who called 911. Police Officer Mandy Giainni says thanks to a lot of help from residents in the Ballantyne Commons Parkway area they found the resident lost the dog and was legitimately looking for his it.
