movieguy Posted July 5, 2005 Report Share Posted July 5, 2005 Backhoe Used To Steal ATM Created: 7/5/2005 11:26:12 AM Updated: 7/5/2005 12:28:10 PM Woodbridge, VA -- Police in Prince William County say thieves used a stolen backhoe to steal an automated teller machine in Woodbridge over the weekend. Officer John Bogert says officers responding to an alarm at the Bank of America branch office early Saturday found the ATM missing. Police found a backhoe behind the bank that was used to pull the ATM from the building. Bogert says investigators found the piece of equipment had been stolen from a construction site about a mile away in Lorton. Bogert says witnesses claim to have seen two men wearing bandannas near the bank at around 3 a.m. Police won't say how much money was taken.
