movieguy Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Bold County Beans 1 lb lean ground beef 2 large cans (28oz.) pork ‘n beans 1/2 lb crisp fried bacon (crumbled) 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup mustard 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/8 tsp. pepper Fry and crumble bacon (set aside) Brown and drain hamburg Place hamburg, beans, and rest of ingredients (minus crumbled bacon bits) in 4 qt dutch oven Mix well Top with bacon bits Bake, covered, for one hour at 350 F (removing lid during last 15 minutes to crisp bacon) Serve hot Serves 8-10 nicely
