Around The Weird: Bizarre News Briefs

SYDNEY (Wireless Flash) -- If you're in a bad mood, you'll make a good witness. Researchers at the University of South Wales in Sydney, Australia, have discovered that people in a positive mood tend to have unreliable memories, and show poorer judgment and critical thinking skills while P.O.'d people are better at thinking and communicating what they saw.

NEW YORK -- Allergies are nothing to sneeze at -- especially when it comes to love. According to a survey by Pfizer, 46 percent of allergy sufferers admit their sneezing and wheezing makes them feel "less attractive or sexy."

ATLANTA -- Hooters is going Hindu. The restaurant chain known for its scantily-clad waitresses is opening up a few stores in India sometime next year.

SAN DIEGO -- Spammers are now using the Olympics to lure folks into opening e-mails promoting male enhancement products. Since the start of the 2004 Games, a flurry of spam has been sent out under the subject line, "2004 Olympic Games." When computer users open the message, it contains the current medal rankings of countries competing in the Games along with a link to a website for a product which promises to increase the size of your manhood.
